Adobe has announced the integration of over 70 of its tools, including Firefly, Adobe Express, Photoshop, Premiere, Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Stock, and Lightroom, with Slack’s AI chatbot, Slackbot. Through the Adobe for Slack MCP app, users can describe desired tasks to Slackbot, which will then invoke the appropriate Adobe tool, taking into account the context of ongoing conversations. This integration allows users to transform conversation data or Canvas content into PDFs, images, and videos, as well as edit assets from previous campaigns or the Creative Cloud asset library directly within Slack chats. Initially, this functionality will be available to Slack Business+ and Enterprise+ teams.
The move aligns with a broader industry trend where creative and productivity software providers are embedding their features into conversational platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, and Slack to meet users where they already work. Adobe recently introduced a similar integration with ChatGPT and plans to launch a Gemini integration soon. According to Deepti Pradeep, senior director for Agentic AI at Adobe, this approach emphasizes end-to-end workflow efficiency, enabling users to achieve desired outcomes more swiftly without micromanaging each step, thereby enhancing productivity by providing access to Adobe’s tools within familiar communication environments.
