A former Texas high school teacher, Holly Adams, was arrested on Tuesday on charges of tampering with evidence and purchasing or furnishing alcohol to a minor, following an investigation that began nearly a year ago into allegations of inappropriate relationships with students. The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office announced the charges against Adams, who previously taught at Angleton High School near Houston.

The investigation was initiated after a student reported to school staff that Adams had an inappropriate relationship with a former student. According to KTRK-TV, the student informed officials that the alleged victim had FaceTimed him from Adams’ bedroom, which was reportedly adorned with nude photographs of Adams, and another image showed Adams and the former student cuddling. Additionally, it was alleged that Adams invited students to her home to perform chores and communicated with members of the school’s baseball team on Snapchat. Adams was subsequently taken to the Brazoria County Detention Center and released on a $26,000 bond, and she no longer works for the Angleton Independent School District. Source
