Apple has unveiled a new Mac Mini powered by the latest M6 processor, with the base model featuring 256GB of storage, 16GB of RAM, and a price tag of $899. This configuration is available for preorder and will ship after September 22. According to Apple, the M6 chip delivers four times better AI performance compared to the M4 model, with twice the speed in storage and graphics. The M6 processor boasts a 12-core CPU and 12-core GPU, an upgrade from the 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU found in the M4.
In addition to the M6 model, Apple also introduced a Mac Mini equipped with the M5 Pro chip, starting at $1,699 with 512GB of storage and 24GB of RAM. The M5 Pro chip features a 15-core CPU and 16-core GPU by default, with options to upgrade to an 18-core CPU and 20-core GPU. Both Mac Mini variants support Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and include a 2.5GB Ethernet port, with the option to upgrade to a 10GB port.
